Ingredients for Homemade Snow:
- 1-1/2 cups cornstarch
- 1/2 cup hair conditioner
- color splash tablets (optional)
- various small toys to play in the snow (optional - you probably already have these around the house)
This is a really simple DIY, and you probably have all that you need at home. Homemade snow is so easy and fun to make!
How to Make Fake Snow for Crafts:
Add cornstarch and conditioner to a mixing bowl and mix well. You want your mixture to hold together so you can shape and form it, but it shouldn't be too wet.
Place onto a plate or into a shallow dish to play in. We used our kinetic sand sandbox. You can sprinkle with stain-free colored water if you would like to, but that is optional. Add animals and toys and play in the snow!
Now that you know how to make snow in minutes, give it a try!
Your kids will go crazy over this fun activity (best parent or teacher ever)!
How do you store DIY fake snow?
Store in an airtight container. If mixture begins to dry out, add additional conditioner. Easy!
